Rio Xingu PikeCichlids

Referring to Crenicichla tigrina and rosemariae, Oliver Lucanus wrote:

"...with the current legislation (positive list) these species can not be exported. Both are widespread species, the type locality of C.rosemariae has been destroyed because it is used as a trough by the cattle farmer that owns it (almost all the upper Xingu where C.rosemariae occurs is clearcut by soy and cattle farmers). The other issue is that they both occur in areas too remote to justify going to the location even if the export was possible, it would simply make the fish too expensive. I have had both species before Brazil enforced the positive list."
