Found floating in stagnant water throughout the summer, Culex eggs look like floating rice, if rice were made of grey charcoal. When hatched they are an extremely nutritious food especially for smaller fish. The bad news is, they'll hatch if not eaten although you have a long time until they can bite, The good news is they freeze well. Not every one survives but enough do and they have been tested down to -100 degrees F (-74 C).
