Kokilaksha
The whole plant is much used in India as an aphrodisiac. Scientific studies have shown that a plant extract can increase testosterone levels and sperm concentration. As the name implies, Hygrophila (= water lover) has a special relationship with the water.

On the one hand, she likes to grow on the water or at least in very humid soil, and on the other hand, she also has a strong dehydrating effect. Contains phytosterols and alkaloids. The application in Indian medicine is also focused on the treatment of kidney and bladder diseases, kidney stones, liver disease. Apart from the herb, the seeds and the root are also used. Kokilaksha is a sturdy plant with beautiful pupur flowers, which can easily be further propagated by rhizomes."
